JazzFestBrno and Jazz Juniors are joining forces to present a two-day showcase in Brno as part of the international programme of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union. This event highlights emerging jazz talent from the Czech Republic and Poland, fostering European collaboration in the jazz scene.
The showcase will feature four Czech and four Polish bands, selected by the international jury. These bands will have the chance to perform for an audience that includes both the general public and invited European delegates from major jazz festivals, agencies, clubs, and media. The delegates will select one winner from each country.
The showcase aims to promote jazz export, encourage future artistic collaborations, and strengthen the bonds between Czech and Polish jazz communities. It provides a platform for young musicians to gain international exposure and explore new creative opportunities. This initiative supports the broader European jazz scene by creating space for inspiration, exchange, and professional growth, helping Czech and Polish artists broaden their networks and contribute to jazz within the larger European context.
The application deadline is April 4, 2025.
The eight selected bands will be announced on April 30, 2025.
