For 48 years, the International Jazz Juniors Competition has remained one of the most important events on the Polish jazz scene, discovering talents that often go on to become pillars of the music world. Since 2016, Jazz Juniors has been running a unique nationwide program that promotes its laureates internationally. In 2025, the highlight of the program will be a series of six concerts at prestigious festivals across Europe.

The finalists of Jazz Juniors 2024 will perform on stages in Serbia (Nišville Jazz Festival), Italy (Fara Music Festival), Croatia (Jazz u Vinogradu), the Czech Republic (Jazz Fest Brno), and twice in Hungary (Budapest Music Center). The project will feature thirteen young musicians from Poland and one artist from Belarus.

Jazz Juniors is a true talent incubator – it’s where artists such as Leszek Możdżer, Marek Bałata, the Pospieszalski brothers, Walk Away, Miłość, Tomasz Chyła Quintet, Dominik Wania, and Piotr Orzechowski “Pianohooligan” began their journeys. Today, the competition not only discovers new talents but also actively supports their entry onto the international stage. Its laureates have already performed in countries like Spain, Canada, China, and Romania, and their albums have been released by renowned labels such as Fresh Sound Records, Hevhetia, and Emme Record Label.

This year’s representatives of the international Polish Jazz Night – Europe program are the bands: BLU/BRY, Adam Baran & Helicopets, Cyryl Lewczuk Quartet, and Zbigniew Chojnacki. Their participation in international festivals is not only a musical adventure but also a real opportunity to open the door to international careers for young Polish artists.

This project is co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland from the Culture Promotion Fund.
