Eight bands from Belgium, Germany, Italy, Russia and Poland will perform at the premiere showcase of Jazz Juniors International Exchange. Who will take part in the final in Kraków? We know the decision of the international artistic council.

This year’s Jazz Juniors International Exchange is an unprecedented event. After 40 years of its existence, in addition to the Contest for the Young Jazz Bands, the organizers announced the first showcase for experienced musicians from around the world. 46 submissions from such distant countries as Israel, Brazil, USA, as well as numerous European countries (including Russia, Italy, Hungary, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands) have been submitted to this project.

The decision of who will perform in this year’s December finale of the Jazz Juniors International Exchange showcase in Kraków, has taken by a nine-person international art council, composed of highly regarded jazz musicians, publishers, journalists and festival organizers. The members were: Ivan Blagojevic, Tommy Caggiani, Davor Hrvoj, Adam Huang, Enrico Moccia, Yaroslav Sartakov, Wojciech Siwek, Jan Sudzin and Gyorgy Wallner.

 According to the decision of the international artistic council, to the showcase has been accepted following bands:

Wójciński/Szmańda Quartet (PL)

Kamil Piotrowicz Sextet (PL)

Mateusz Pałka Trio (PL)

Tomasz Chyła Quintet (PL)

Toni MORA Quartet (Belgium)

Sun Dew (Germany)

LRK Trio (Russia)

Zadeno Trio (Italy)

Showcase concerts will be held in Zet Pe Te club, Dolnych Młynów 10 street, in Kraków on 4th and 5th of December.
